New Minor Illness Clinic

If you call requesting an urgent appointment on the day the receptionist may offer you an appointment in our Minor Illness Express Clinic.  You will be assessed by our Nurse Practitioner,  Lynn Cross,  who is able to assess and treat a range of common health problems and prescribe medication if required. This Nurse has been trained to spot signs of more serious illness and will alert the Duty Doctor.

Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Lynn Cross (f)

I joined the 28 Beaumont Street Practice at the end of March 2017.  It is a lovely, friendly team, making it a pleasure to work with such enthusiastic and professional colleagues.

I have extensive clinical experience predominantly in children's nursing, previously leading a team providing homecare treatments of intravenous infusions and working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Great Ormond Street Hospital.  My role now involves managing both acute and long-term conditions.  I offer a wide range of consultations for minor illness/injury, acute onset of undiagnosed problems, contraception, diabetes care and more.  During my 38 years in nursing, I have completed many training courses including post-graduate non-medical prescribing, minor illness/injury, contraception and diabetes.  I am presently studying for my Masters as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

During my spare time, I love long walks with Pippa, our family Cocker Spaniel.
